| The Sub-Acute Unit is a medical model Residential Treatment Program for severely emotionally disturbed youth, male and female, ages 11 through 18. The program consists of 24-hour nursing, a full time psychiatrist, and an intensive, therapeutic and educational program. |

The Child Residential Treatment Unit is for males and females ages 5-12 who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems. Each resident has a team of staff members including therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, familes and other natural supports, and direct care staff helping to facilitate the best treatment possible for the individual. |

The Chrysalis Unit specializes in the care, treatment, and supervision of the severely emotionally disturbed MR/DD population utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy coupled with Behavior Modification. |

This is a program for 11-18 year old adolescent males who have demonstrated maladaptive sexual behaviors. The client learns to recognize his abusive behavior towards others and patterns of abuse. This is a highly structured and secure environment, in which the individual learns tools to achieve and maintain healthy relationships. |

The Dual Diagnosis Unit here at Desert Hills is a residential treatment program (staffed and secured 24-hours daily) for adolescent Boys and Girls ages 11-18. It’s for adolescents struggling with both a mental illness and chemical dependency. These are two unique problems that need to be addressed simultaneously. |
